Help keep our parish grounds looking neat and a source of pride! All grounds care is done by volunteers, and families can get involved by picking up trash, weeding, raking, and sweeping. Adults (21+) can also help by mowing with a push or riding mower, edging, and using a leaf blower. Equipment and training are provided. This activity is great for all ages. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring garden gloves if you have them. As part of our Family Volunteering program, this is designed to be a family experience. At least two family members, including at least one adult, are required to work together and experience volunteerism together. Please note that teen or child drop-off is not allowed for this activity. Service hrs. for NHS, etc. is available. Meet at the garage in the back parking lot at 8 a.m.

You will do this project from your home. For simple sewing turbans all you need is a t-shirt or some fabric and your creative spirit. Click for easy-to-follow ideas and directions. Spread kindness and help our community on your own, anytime! For this activity, you will make cookies and cards for first responders as a way to show appreciation and to say thank you to our community heroes! Activity Directions. Choose your favorite cookie recipe. Purchase the ingredients and work together to mix, bake and package them for your local first responders. While your cookies are baking, make a cheerful card to add to your package thanking the first responders for their hard work. When you are finished, you can drop the cookies and cards off at your local fire house, constable or police station. Please be sure to call ahead to ensure that they are able to accept home-baked goods at this time. Send a photos to starons@stbchurch.org of your family volunteering. Photos are needed to earn 1 service hour.

Join us in helping to feed the local homeless a hot lunch! All ages can participate—children can work alongside an adult to prepare an item, which can be homemade or store-bought. All food should be delivered in disposable containers, ready to serve. Please bring your contributions to the Church of Christ (across the street from St. B's) back parking lot between 11:20-11:30 AM on Saturday, July 6. Join us as a volunteer for Earth Day! St. B’s volunteers will work with Armand Bayou Nature Center staff to provide guests with a fun and exciting Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Our group will assist in running a craft or manning an activity booth outdoors. Volunteers of all ages, including minors accompanied by an adult, are welcome. Shifts are 10-1 p.m. or 1-4 p.m. Space is limited, so sign up now to secure your spot. Let's come together to honor our planet and make a positive impact on the environment. New volunteers welcome!
