Our Elementary Faith Formation Program is a vibrant beginning to your child's lifelong journey of faith.

 Each year we seek to form and build onto a solid foundation of faith that will support your child as he or she grows to know, love and serve Jesus.  We are called to partner together as we continually seek to teach, inspire, and encourage your children  to develop a lifelong love of Jesus.

Welcome to Whole Family Catechesis here at St. Bernadette Catholic Church!

Whole Family Catechesis is the method of Faith Formation practiced here at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. We believe that the family is the primary context in which faith formation takes place. With Whole Family Catechesis as our model, we at St. Bernadette will support you and your family in your journey of faith formation.

We welcome adults and teens to share their faith with our children. Their love of children is an essential ingredient to the success of our ministry! (Anyone aged 18 and over will need to complete the  Safe Haven program (online) and have a criminal background check.)

• Elementary Catechist (Takes place on Sundays)
• Office Assistant(During Sunday Class)
• Sacrament Team Catechist (Assist with 1st Reconciliation and 1st Eucharist)

• Time Requirements:
  • About 1.5-2 hours a week, depending on the ministry. Training is provided.
  • Catechists and Faith Sharers devote an additional hour each week preparing the lesson.
