We are so happy you have chosen our church for your wedding. Since you are receiving your marriage preparation at another parish, we wanted you to know what the procedures are to be married at St. Bernadette.
Please see the steps listed below.
What is the process?
There are several steps that need to be followed so you and your fiancé can be married here at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
The online form below needs to be filled out and submitted
You should start or already be in a marriage preparation program. All marriage preparation should be completed at your home church. We will need a letter from the deacon or priest who is preparing you for marriage that states you have completed or are currently in marriage preparation. This letter can be an email from a church email address or a letter on church letterhead.
Once we have the information listed above, then we can see if the date is available. If the date is available, we will forward your request for clergy to our deacons and priest to see who is available. You are always free to contact a member of our clergy yourself to see if they are available.
Once clergy has been confirmed, we can tentatively schedule your wedding date.
We require a $300 facilities use fee to reserve your wedding date in our system.
We will notify our Director of Worship about your upcoming marriage, and they will be in contact with you regarding the liturgy and music.
The clergy working with you on marriage preparation will mail the completed marriage preparation packet to St. Bernadette Catholic Church at least 30 days before your scheduled wedding.
You will need to meet with St. Bernadette clergy before the marriage.
You will need to be available for a rehearsal a day or two before the wedding. At that time, a valid Texas Marriage License must be presented.
