Bring your electronics to Ellington Airport/Clear Lake Neighborhood Recycling Center on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9-3 p.m. (closes sooner if the truck is full) and contribute to a greener future!
We’re looking for friendly volunteers to serve as parish tour guides to individuals, a few times a year, showing new members around our parish and helping them feel at home. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, share your knowledge of the parish, and make a meaningful impact. We’re looking for volunteers to handwrite short messages such as God Loves You, inside greeting cards for the sick and shut-ins to brighten their day. Help keep our parish grounds looking neat and a source of pride! All grounds care is done by volunteers, and families can get involved by picking up trash, weeding, raking, and sweeping. Adults (21+) can also help by mowing with a push or riding mower, edging, and using a leaf blower. Equipment and training are provided. This activity is great for all ages. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring garden gloves if you have them. As part of our Family Volunteering program, this is designed to be a family experience. At least two family members, including at least one adult, are required to work together and experience volunteerism together. Please note that teen or child drop-off is not allowed for this activity. Service hrs. for NHS, etc. is available. Meet at the garage in the back parking lot at 8 a.m.
Support our Troops by making a Paracord Lanyard for Operation Gratitude at home. Supplies can be picked up from the Time and Talent Office (please call ahead) or you can use your own. Drop lanyards off at the Time and Talent Office. 1 service hour for every 5 made. Reflection: What message do I want to offer others through what I say and do?
This is an at-home project and can be completed anytime. Join us in crafting caps and turbans for cancer patients at Texas Oncology using simple sewing, knitting, crocheting, and more! You will do this project from your home. For simple sewing turbans all you need is a t-shirt or some fabric and your creative spirit. Click for easy-to-follow ideas and directions. Once completed, drop off your items at the Time and Talent Office.
